If you're feeling happy, make the most of your positive frame of
mind and hold onto that feeling. Here's a few simple ideas
to harness your enthusiasm.
Stretch off
Concentrating on holding your shoulders down and back and
pulling your navel back towards the spine. For a quick stretch,
stand with the balls of your feet on the bottom step; hold onto the
wall for balance and rise up and down 10 times. Rest, then repeat 3
more times.
Take the stairs
Stairs have built in thigh and bum toning equipment. If you're
full of get up and go, find time to go up and down the stairs 5
times (sets) at your own pace. You should to be slightly out of
breath by the end of the second set. Keep at this level for the
remaining sets. (Repeat after 5 minutes for extra calorie
burning!)
Kill two birds...
Housework is surprisingly adept at calorie burning (around 200
for half an hour!) While you're feeling energized, change the beds,
hoover round and mop the floor. The house will look good and you'll
feel satisfied at all you've accomplished. Best of all, you'll be
fitter for burning off those extra calories!
