I did the Special K 2 week kick start about 6
months before I got married as I was a little bit overweight and
also quite unfit. It was early Spring and the weather was nice so I
also started walking to work and signed up for the Race for Life
that June - having that as a fitness goal was a real incentive. I
normally rush out in the morning, skip breakfast, have a sandwich
for lunch and then a big supper (with lots of chocolate in
between!) so as soon as I started my plan I had to start to make a
bit more 'me' time in the mornings. I like the normal kind of
Special K but found that Special
K Sustain really helped me avoid the
mid-morning munchies. I always get hungry mid-afternoon but just
had a piece of fruit instead of anything from the vending
machine!
At the end of the two weeks I really did notice a difference
around my waist especially which made me really motivated to carry
on eating healthily - especially as I had really enjoyed being a
bit healthier. I kept up the healthy eating through the summer and
by my wedding in September I was looking exactly as I had wanted
to. I really love how I look in the photos and have vowed to in
shape now forever!
To anyone else I'd say, give it a go but give yourself lots of
time afterwards to make bigger changes. I'd also really suggest
doing some exercise but make sure you really enjoy it - if you
don't then you won't keep it up and that can mean you're tempted to
give up eating healthily too.
